Olympiacos Training Center

In 2004, Olympiacos undertook the construction of a modern training center in the region of Ag. I. Rentis, and more specifically on the site where the old facilities of the Club were located. From 2010 onwards, the facilities are being regularly improved and modernized, transforming Olympiacos’ Training Center into one of the most contemporary and fully equipped football training centers in the world. The aim is to always provide the First Team players and the Youth Academy of Olympiacos with everything they may need for their development and successes.

The Fields

The training center primarily serves the needs of the Club’s First Team, as well as the Academy Teams. The training center includes a total of eight football fields. Five of these (G1, G2, G3, G4, and G5) are made with natural grass. Additionally, there are three fields with artificial turf, divided as follows: P1, P2, and P4. Two of the fields, specifically G1 and G2, feature the latest hybrid grass technology, and their playing surface is of the same quality and specifications as that of the team’s stadium, “G. Karaiskakis.” Furthermore, matches of Olympiacos’ Academy for the Super League Youth Championships are held at these fields, as well as European matches in the UEFA Youth League, in which the Club’s youth teams participate. All fields are equipped with floodlights, and there is a stand with a capacity of approximately 1,800 spectators.

The Dormitory, Restaurant and Reception Areas

The building facilities are divided into five sections: the dormitory, the locker rooms, the gym, the Academy sections, and the First Team and Academy offices. The dormitory is a two-story building. On the ground floor, there is a reception area, a lounge, a playroom, a dining room, a kitchen, and storage areas. On the upper floor, there are 18 double rooms and 2 single rooms, as well as a lounge where computers can be used. All areas have wireless internet access. The dormitories are used by the First Team before matches in domestic and European competitions.

The Locker Rooms

The second section of the building facilities consists of the ultra-modern locker rooms. This is also a two-story building. On the ground floor, there are two locker room areas, allowing two teams to be accommodated simultaneously if necessary. There are also showers, toilets, and offices for the First Team’s coaches and analysts. Additionally, the Academy’s locker rooms are located on the ground floor, where teams playing in the Super League Youth Championships are hosted.

The Gym, Ergometric Center, Physiotherapy Room and Pool

The gym, ergometric center, and physiotherapy room make up the third section of our football training center. This area includes a large physical training hall (gym), a medical room, and a fully equipped, state-of-the-art physiotherapy room, with areas for saunas, hydrotherapy, steam baths, and a pool. There is also a room used exclusively for the coach’s talks to the players, as well as for seminars, known as the “Red Room.”

Academy Facilities

Since 2010, when Mr. Evangelos Marinakis took over Olympiacos FC, great emphasis has been placed on the club’s Academy, with the goal of producing players from within the team. That was when the training center began to expand even more, with the Academy becoming part of the development projects. Dormitories were created for the Academy players, providing rooms for the young athletes to stay in, as well as a study room for those who attend school. A common room and a playroom were also built, along with a modern gym for the Academy players. Additionally, a cold plunge pool was built for the players’ recovery. There are also offices for the Academy staff, as well as for the Academy coaches and the Director, along with a meeting room and two analysis rooms.

First Team Offices

The First Team offices are located on the floor above the gym and locker rooms. This is where the Sporting Director and his associates are based, as well as a reception area for visitors to the facilities.

Accessibility and Parking

All floors of the training center are connected by stairs, an elevator, and a ramp, as provisions have been made for accessibility by people with disabilities. Additionally, outside the building and within the surrounding area, there is a parking area with electric vehicle charging stations.
