The kids of the SOS Village in Vari visited Olympiacos F.C. training centre in Rendis on Saturday, March 31.

On Sunday afternoon Olympiacos F.C. visited the parish church of Saint Eleftherios in Kaminia, Piraeus. The players and the administration representatives distributed gifts to the kids and financially contributed to the charitable fund of Saint Eleftherios.

Yiannis Maniatis, Yiannis Fetfatzidis, Kevin Mirallas and Jose Cholevas visited the Holy Church of the Virgin Mary in Nikea on Wednesday, December 21 in order to help distribute goods to the families of the parish.

A group of representatives of OLYMPIACOS F.C. headed by Vice Presidents Savvas Theodoridis and Yiannis Moralis and consisting of Theylos S.A. C.E.O. George Pavlou, Head of scouting department and Administration Consultant Darko Kovacevic as well as the Head of the Football Department Tassos Mitropoulos, visited this morning the “Merimna” institution which hosts children with special needs.

A delegation of OLYMPIACOS F.C. visited the Municipal Institution (Orphanage) of Corfu and offered gifts to the kids, as well as a check of 5.000 € in order to facilitate the institution’s function; one more gesture, in the frame of the club’s public contribution acts, which proves its social awareness and sensibility.

Olympiacos FC is not only a sports organization and a football squad but also a club with great social sensitivity, always aiming to help people in need and support those institutions that contribute to social well being. Olympiacos also helps promote the work of those institutions which we should all, individually or collectively, seek to help.

Olympiacos F.C. President, Mr. Vangelis Marinakis, accompanied by the club’s Vice President, Mr. Yiannis Moralis, the CEO of “Thrilos S.A.”, Mr. George Pavlou, the technical advisor of the Olympiacos schools of football, Mr. George Amanatidis as well as a number of children from the club’s schools in Cyprus, visited the paediatric department of the Limassol hospital, on 11th May 2011 following an initiative taken by the President himself.

In a special ceremony organised by the “Genesios Theotokos” parish, in Nikaia, the Captain of the Team of Olympiacos FC, Mr Tasos Mitropoulos handed over a cheque amounting to €10,000 on behalf of the club’s President, Mr Vaggelis Marinakis, to the charitable fund of the parish church for the provision of a soup kitchen to the homeless.

On the initiative of Olympiacos F.C., the Municipality of Piraeus and OPAP S.A. and before the Mayor of Piraeus, Mr. Michaloliakos, the cleaning of the “Votsalakia” beach in Piraeus as well as the reforestation of the surrounding area took place on Sunday 5th June 2011, on the occasion of World Environment Day.

A letter of thanks was sent today by the Limassol General Hospital, following the recent visit of a delegation from Olympiacos FC, accompanied by the club’s President Mr Evangelos Marinakis, for the club’s financial aid in support of the paediatric clinic.

Athens, December 14, 2010 – More than 33,000 fans demonstrated their support for the people of Pakistan and Haiti tonight by filling the “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium in Piraeus to watch top football players, who played to a 2-2 draw in the 8th Match Against Poverty.
