Competitive Departments

Olympiacos places significant emphasis on its youth development teams. The club’s primary objective is to properly operate and grow its Football Academy, as well as to enhance and expand its Football School Network, which extends across Greece and internationally.

Football Academy: U-19 Team

The U-19 team participates in the corresponding Super League championship.

The U-19 team has won the Super League championship in the seasons 2009-10, 2012-13, 2014-15, 2015-16, 2016-17, 2022-23, and 2023-24, and in the 2003-04 season, it won the Panhellenic Championship of EPAE. Naturally, Olympiacos holds the most titles at the youth level.

The greatest moment in the history of the “red-and-white” academy occurred in the 2023-24 season when Olympiacos’ Youth team won the European championship, specifically the UEFA Youth League, reaching the highest peaks of Europe.

During the 2012-13 season, they participated in the European Next Gen Series and reached the quarter-finals.

In the 2014-15 season, they reached the “Round of 16” in the UEFA Youth League.

The team has maintained a continuous presence in UEFA’s European competitions.

In the UEFA Youth League, they have defeated, among others, the academy teams of Juventus, Bayern Munich, Atlético Madrid, and Arsenal. In the season when they won the prestigious trophy, they eliminated Lecce, Gabala, Inter Milan, and Lens. In the Final Four of the competition hosted in Switzerland, they defeated Nantes in the semi-final and beat AC Milan in the final with a 3-0 score!

In August 2024, Olympiacos’ Youth team competed in the grand final of the Intercontinental U20, held at the historic Maracanã Stadium in Brazil, where they were defeated 2-1 by Flamengo, delivering an impressive performance as the European champions.

The Youth team surpassed the 100 goals scored in official matches during both the 2014-15 and 2015-16 seasons.

They have participated in many international tournaments, such as:

2008: Second place in the SPAX U-19 Tournament

2009: First place in the U-20 Turin Tournament

2010: First place in the Emirates Cup in Dubai

2012: First place in the MEMORIA XXVIII TORNEO JUVENI in Sociedad

2017: Third place in the International Reze Tournament in France

2022: Fourth place in the Altstetten tournament in Switzerland

2022: Participation in the Al Abtal International Friendly Cup

Football Academy: U-17 Team

The U-17 team competes in the corresponding Super League championship.

The U-17 team has won seven Super League championships during the 2009-10, 2010-11, 2014-15, 2016-17, 2017-18, 2018-19, and 2022-23 seasons.

In March 2016, they participated in the “Future Cup” organized by Ajax in Amsterdam, dedicated to the memory of Johan Cruyff.

In the past, they have also participated in many international tournaments with excellent results:

2007: Second place in the U-17 Shakhtar Donetsk Tournament

2008: First place in the U-17 Shakhtar Donetsk Tournament

2010: First place in the U-17 Anorthosis Cyprus Tournament

2010: Second place in the U-17 XV Torneo “Miguel Tendillo”

Football Academy: U-16 Team

The U-16 team annually participates in tournaments in Attica, featuring academies of professional clubs and is a key contender in the EPS Piraeus championship. Throughout the season, they also participate in international friendly matches and tournaments abroad.

In 2023, the U-16 players won the “Reze” tournament in France.

Football Academy: U-15 Team

The U-15 team competes in the Super League U-15 championship, which they have won four times (2013-14, 2015-16, 2019-20, and 2021-22).

In 2016 and 2017, the team visited Qatar to participate in the international tournament organized by the “Aspire Academy,” while in 2018, they participated in the Zenit tournament in Saint Petersburg.

In March 2024, the U-15 team won the Elite Neon Cup in Cyprus.

Football Academy: U-14 Team

In 2017, the U-14 team reached the final phase of the “Nike Premier Cup” in Berlin, where they finished in 5th place.

They participate annually in tournaments in Attica, featuring academy teams from professional FCs, and are a key contender in the EPS Piraeus championship.

In 2016, they secured 2nd place in an international tournament at “Leonhofen FC” in Austria and also participated in the “Aspire Academy” tournament in Qatar.

Football Academy: U-13 Team

In May 2010, Olympiacos’ U-13 team achieved its greatest international distinction by winning first place in the “Biale Orly Cup” international tournament held in Warsaw, Poland. In 2016, the team participated in Zenit’s “Friendship Cup” in Russia, and in 2017, they took part in the “Mundialito” in Spain.

They also compete annually in the EPS Piraeus Junior Championship, where they are a leading contender.

In 2024, the U-13 team was the runner-up in the international Carpentras tournament held in France. Notably, Olympiacos was the only non-French team to reach the quarter-finals of the competition.

Football Academy: U-12 Team

The academy’s U-12 team participates in tournaments in Attica and friendly competitions across Europe and beyond. Throughout the season, they engage in matches and friendlies with teams from Olympiacos’ school network in Greece and abroad.

Football Academy: U-11 Team

The U-11 team in our academy participates in tournaments in Attica alongside other professional FCs and our own Football Schools.

In the 2018-2019 season, they participated in a tournament in Portugal.

Football Academy: U-10 Team

The academy’s U-10 team participates in tournaments in Attica and abroad. Each year, they play friendly matches with our Football Schools from all over Greece.

In the 2018-2019 season, they participated in a tournament in Poland.
