KONSTANTINOS LAIFIS “WHO IS WHO”
Konstantinos Laifis was born on 19/5/1993 at Paralimni, Cyprus. A defender, he can also play as a defensive midfielder. His journey into football started from Paralimni “Enosi Neon” (Youth Association) Academies; before even reaching 16, he gave it a try in England and joined Nottingham Forest’s Academies.
He stayed there for 2.5 years and made it up to the U-18 team. In the 2011/12 season, he made his return to Cyprus for Anorthosis. To date, he has played for Larnaca’s Alki on loan from Anorthosis.
His talents helped him stood out and, consequently, he was called to join Cyprus National U-teams. Now, he is an important asset of the country’s National Men Team.
As an Anorthosis player, he was picked as the league’s Best New Cypriot player for the 2014/15 season in a voting organized by KOP (Cyprus Football Association) and voted by all league’s managers.
His personal titles are far from over since, in both 2014/15 and last season (2015/16), he was a member of Cyprus League’s top XI as nominated by PASP (Cyprus Association of Football Players).
