The young “red-and-whites” celebrated a major qualification to the last 16 of the UEFA Youth League, defeating Girona 1–0 at Rentis. The winning goal came in the 70th minute, as Stavros Pneumonidis found the net with a well-placed header.
Following last season’s European triumph, Olympiacos’ youth team continues their strong run this year. They now await their next opponent, who will be determined in the draw set to take place next Friday (February 14) in Nyon, Switzerland.
