Olympiacos managed to claim all three points in their match at Peristeri against Atromitos in MD19 of the Stoiximan Super League. With this victory, the red-and-white outfit remains firmly at the top of the league table, ahead of their upcoming European clash against Porto in Portugal and their Stoiximan Super League match against Panathinaikos at “G. Karaiskakis” Stadium.
The Piraeus side delivered an excellent first-half performance and secured a two-goal lead. In the 18th minute, Retsos scored with a header from a Rodinei corner, and El Kaabi made it 0-2, also with a header, converting a Costinha cross. Atromitos reduced the deficit towards the end of the first half, specifically in the 37th minute, with an own goal by Costinha, who was pushed inside the box by Karamanis.
In 90+7’, Atromitos earned a penalty, but Tzolakis denied it securing the win for Olympiacos.
