Olympiacos secured first place in the Stoiximan Super League after a legendary performance and a 4-1 victory over AEK at the Georgios Karaiskakis Stadium in MD12 of the championship.
The “red-and-whites” dominated the match from start to finish. Despite setbacks due to the forced substitutions of Carmo and Chiquinho, they took full advantage of their home ground to comfortably earn the three points.
Olympiacos took an early lead in 7’ with an El Kaabi penalty, won by Kostoulas after being fouled by Rota. The equalizer came in the 43rd minute, courtesy of Martial. However, in the second half, Olympiacos quickly regained control with two goals from El Kaabi in 49’ and 51’, making it 3-1. Martins sealed the win with a fourth goal in the 62nd minute. AEK was reduced to ten players in 81’ minute following Lamela’s straight red card.
