The Legend’s Youth competed in the Intercontinental U20 final at Maracanã, and the President of Olympiacos, Evangelos Marinakis, stated:
«Tonight we watched and experienced a grand final against a great opponent hosted at a historic stadium, the Maracanã, in Brazil, the home of football. Tonight, our young players played in front of 40,000 fans who never stopped chanting for their team Flamengo. They put on a football display, filled with passion and resolve of Olympiacos magnitude, and they are worthy of praise for making it that high! Yet again, they made us all very proud of them! I have no doubt they will keep on conquering new peaks and fulfil their dreams. Every day in our Academy, our players work with great coaches and a team of people who help and push them to develop their talent and love for football.
At Olympiacos, we are a family, and as I’ve said before, I will always stand by the young players so that together we can build their future, build the future of our Club and of Greek football. Just before our Olympiacos celebrates 100 years of Legendary history, we added our first European Trophies to our glorious history—those of the UEFA Europa Conference League and the UEFA Youth League, and today we featured at the Intercontinental Cup U20 Final. And we won’t stop; we keep going strong, WE KEEP ON DREAMING!
