Olympiacos FC announces the acquisition of 28-year-old forward, Roman Yaremchuk. The international striker was born on November 27, 1995, in Lviv, Ukraine.
Yaremchuk started his career at Karpaty Lviv before joining the youth academy of Dynamo Kyiv. He made his debut for Dynamo Kyiv’s first team after a loan spell at Oleksandriya, where he recorded 17 appearances and scored six goals.
In the summer of 2017, he was signed by KAA Gent. Over four years with the Belgian club, he made 152 appearances and scored 61 goals. He then transferred to Benfica, where he played in 47 matches and netted nine goals. In the summer of 2022, he joined Club Brugge, appearing in 32 games, scoring six goals, and providing three assists.
In the recently concluded season, he played for Valencia on loan from Club Brugge, featuring in 29 matches and scoring four goals.
Yaremchuk has been capped 58 times by the Ukrainian national team, participating in Euro 2024 and scoring the winning goal against Slovakia. He has scored a total of 16 goals for the national team and has represented Ukraine at the U17, U18, U19, U20, and U21 levels.
