Dani García joins Olympiacos

Press release from Olympiacos FC regarding the signing of Spanish midfielder Dani García.

Olympiacos FC is pleased to announce the acquisition of Spanish midfielder Dani García, born on May 24, 1990, in Zumarraga, Basque Country.

García joins us from Athletic Bilbao, where he made 195 appearances over six seasons, including 166 in La Liga. During his time there, he won the Spanish Super Cup (2020/21) and the Copa del Rey (2023/24).

He began his football career in the youth academy of Real Sociedad, signing with them in 2012 after stints with Alicante and Getafe.

García was loaned from Real Sociedad to Eibar, where he played for six seasons. During his time at Eibar, he made 223 appearances (105 under coach José Luis Mendilibar), scored three goals, and provided five assists.
