Olympiacos FC is excited to announce the signing of 22-year-old midfielder Marko Stamenic. Born on February 19, 2002, in Wellington, New Zealand, and of Serbian descent, Stamenic has earned 15 caps for the New Zealand national team.
Stamenic’s football journey began at the Olé Football Academy. He played for Western Suburbs and Team Wellington before moving to Copenhagen in September 2020. During his time with the Danish club, he made 23 appearances, including in the Champions League, and won the Danish Cup in the 2022-2023 season. In the 2021-2022 season, he was loaned to Køge, where he made 23 appearances and scored two goals.
In February 2023, Stamenic joined Crvena zvezda Belgrade, where he made 35 appearances, including four in the Champions League, scored two goals, and won both the Serbian SuperLiga and the Serbian Cup.
