Olympiacos FC announces signing of Jovane Eduardo Borges Cabral. The 25-year-old winger was born on June 14th, 1998, in Cape Verde and, at the age of 16, he joined Sporting’s academy moving from his home country’s Grémio Nhagar. After playing in Sporting’s U-17, U-19 and Team B’, he made his debut with the First Team in October 2017.
In January 2022, he was transferred on loan to Lazio and to Salernitana in August 2023. Cabral was featured 107 times in Sporting, with a tally of 21 goals and 18 assists. This season, he played 13 times and scored 2 goals in Salernitana.
He was capped 9 times with Cape Verde’s National Team and he will also play in this year’s edition of the Africa Cup of Nations. Under Sporting, he played in Champions League and Europa League, whereas, this year, he was capped 13 times with Salernitana, 12 of which in Serie A.
