Olympiacos FC announces the acquisition of Portuguese midfielder, André Filipe da Luz Horta, who was born on November 7, 1996, in the city of Almada.
After spending eight years at the academy of Benfica, he joined Vitoria at the age of 15, and a few months later made his debut with the first team in the Primeira Liga. In July 2016, having made 42 appearances with two goals and three assists in Vitoria, he transferred to Benfica, making 16 appearances with the team.
In the summer of 2017 he was loaned to Braga and in March 2018 he was acquired by Los Angeles, completing the 2017–2018 season with 42 games, one goal and seven assists.
In June 2019 he returned to Portugal on behalf of Braga, who bought him from the MLS team. Horta played a total of 222 games for Braga, with ten goals and 28 assists. This year he has made 25 appearances, with two goals and two assists.
André Horta has played in 47 Champions League and Europa League games and is international with the Portuguese national team at the U18, U19, U20 and U21 levels. He has won, among others, the Championship and the Cup with Benfica, the Cup and the League Cup with Braga.
