Olympiacos FC announces signing Spanish striker Francisco Navarro, who was born on Feb 3, 1998, in Valencia’s suburb of Pinedo.
After joining Valencia’s U-teams, he featured in the Club’s Team B and got capped 97 times, with a total of 27 goals and 5 assists.
In summer 2019, he was sent to Belgian outfit Lokeren on loan for a 6-month spell in which he was capped 14 times, registering 3 goals and 3 assists.
In January 2020, he returned to Valencia and, in summer 2021, he was transferred to Gil Vicente. In his first year with the Portuguese club, he netted 16 times in 35 matches played, whereas in 2022-2023 he turned out even more productive since, in 43 fixtures, he scored 21 goals and served 3 assists, being also in the score sheet of UEFA Europa Conference League matches.
In his 2-year spell in Gil Vicente, he played in 78 matches and scored 37 goals, which made Porto work to sign him in last summer’s transfer window.
Under their flag, he played in 10 matches scoring 1 goal. As an international, Navarro was capped with all Spanish U-teams (U16, U17, U18, U19, U20).
