Olympiacos had their second friendly match in Great Britain, as part of the second stage of the summer preparation, initially facing Rangers in Scotland and Norwich in England. The “red-and-whites” defeated Rangers on the road by 3–1, while in England they lost 2–0, with team coach Diego Martínez performing the tests he wanted in view of the start of official obligations.
In the match against England’s Norwich, Olympiacos lost 2–0 following the goals of McLean and Sargent in the 20’ and the 49’, respectively.
