Olympiacos FC announces the acquisition of Spanish midfielder Vicente Iborra. He was born in Valencia, on January 16th, 1988, and made his first steps in football at the academy of Levante, where he made his professional debut in the 2007–2008 season.
In August 2013, he signed with Seville, having previously made 225 appearances with Levante, including 97 in La Liga and 12 in the Europa League. He evolved to a point of reference in Seville, where he remained for four years. He became captain, won three consecutive Europa Leagues (2013–2014, 2014–2015, 2015–2016) and made a total of 173 appearances, with a score of 30 goals.
In July 2017, he transferred to Leicester, where he made 37 appearances and scored four goals. In January 2019, Villarreal bought him from Leicester for 4.5 years. In his 104 appearances, he scored five goals and won the Europa League of the 2020–2021 season. In July 2022, he returned to Levante on loan, ending the season with 43 appearances and two goals.
Throughout his substantial career, he has recorded 296 appearances at the top division of Spanish football, has played in 27 games in the Premier League, and 65 games in the Champions League, Europa League, and the UEFA Super Cup.
