Same team, same score, same pitch; this evening, have you been more stressed compared to the previous championship match against Aris?
I think the matches differed; both the competition is different and they evolved in a specific way each one. We created many chances; we were dangerous to our opponent and I believe my players deserved this win the way they played. I satisfied with my players; the drive and effort put by the team were the same like those in our players last Sunday.
This is the 5th match in which Olympiacos concede no goal. What has changed after your mid-season training in Spain?
Our defense is solid and players are effective. What we managed to do and change is that all players now contribute to our defending performance; this is the reason we conceded no goals in the last 5 matches. Every coach has a specific plan in mind and tries to implement it by means of his players’ hard work; what gives us satisfaction is that our players are willing and ready to put in practice all the things we have in mind for the team.
In your entire career, both as a coach and a footballer, you collaborated worked with top players. We want your comment on James’ left foot.
It is not just his foot, but all the things James has in his mind. It is very rare to find such a complete player like James. He is not fast and that energetic in the match, but it can be no coincidence that he is always next to the ball. We are happy with him and he puts into action everything we ask from him. He contributes in defending, and he falls back to get the ball and start our attack. We are happy with James and we hope he is also happy with the coach.
