Splendour of Olympiacos starring Marcelo

Olympiacos defeated Atromitos 4–1 in “G. Karaiskakis” in the first match of the Greek Cup’s 6th phase.

Olympiacos returned to their official obligations for the season, following the break for the World Cup, and exhibited several new elements during the match at “G. Karaiskakis” leading to the 4–1 victory over Atromitos in the first game of the 6th phase of the Greek Cup.

The “red-and-whites” brought out many positive features in the field of “G. Karaiskakis” and viewers were satisfied with the team’s performance as well as Marcelo’s splendour, as the Brazilian was one of the protagonists of the game, scoring two goals.

Olympiacos took an early lead in the first half, at 7’ with Biel, but Atromitos tied with Kjartansson at 11’ and in the second half came the “red-and-white” eruption for the the 4–1, with two goals by Marcelo (49’ and 65’) and one by El-Arabi (63’).
