Rodinei Marcelo de Almeida agreed to continue his career in Olympiacos and signed a 2.5-year contract until 2025.
Born on January 29th, 1992, the 30-year-old Brazilian right back just closed a splendid season with Flamengo, with 46 caps in all competitions, a Copa Libertadores title (2022) and a slot in the final’s starting XI against Atletico Paranaense.
Under Flamengo’s colors, since 2015, he played in 163 matches, provided 17 assists and scored 6 goals. It was with the same club that he celebrated winning the 2019 Copa Libertadores, the 2019 Championship title and -thanks to his scoring a penalty goal- the 2022 Cup.
In December 2019, he was transferred to Internacional on loan and capped 50 times (3 goals, 9 assists).
In the past, he played in clubs such as Avai, Marcilio Dias, Corinthians, CRAC, Social Esportiva Vitória, Penapolense and Ponte Preta. Brazil’s head coach Tite selected him for the country’s preliminary national squad ahead of the 2022 World Cup.
