Olympiacos FC announces the transfer of Cédric Bakambu.
Born in France on April 11th 1991, he joined the local soccer team, Ivry, at the age of 10. He transferred to Sochaux four years later, participating in 107 games, with 21 goals and 3 assists.
In 2014, Bakambu transferred to Bursaspor in Turkey, appearing in 40 games, with 21 goals and 7 assists. He was later sold to Villarreal FC, participating in 105 games, with 47 goals and 5 assists, from the summer of 2015 until January 2018. He moved on to Chinese team Beijing Guoan, scoring 58 goals and delivering 23 assists in 87 games.
In January 2022 he returned to Europe and signed with Marseilles, appearing in 24 games, with 4 goals and 2 assists.
Bakambu has been capped 40 times for the national team of Congo and has scored 13 goals.
