Olympiacos FC announces signing another world class football star, James Rodriguez.
Born in 07/12/1991, the 31-year-old Colombian attacking midfielder has featured in some of the world’s best clubs. In 2014, he got signed by Real Madrid coming from Monaco; he was capped 125 times with a tally of 37 goals and 42 assists. Then followed Bayern Munich for which he played from 2017 until 2019 in 67 scoring 15 goals and providing 20 assists. In 2020, he signed in Everton for a total of 26 caps and registered 6 goals and 9 assists. In September, he was sold to Qatar’s Al-Rayyan; there, he featured in 15 matches scoring5 goals and 7 assists. He started his career in his home country’s Envigado in 2008, followed by Banfield in Argentina (2009) and then Porto in 2010 (108 caps, 32 goals, 42 assists) and Monaco in 2013 (38 caps, 10 goals, 14 assists).
Rodriguez was named the 2014 World Cup’s top scorer, after netting 6 goals for Colombia’s national team, for which he has played 86 times with a tally of 24 goals. Under Porto, he won 3 championship titles (2011, 2012, 2013), 1 Cup (2011) and 4 Portugal’s Super Cups (2010, 2011, 2012, 2013). In Bayern, he won 2 championship titles (2018, 2019), 1 Cup (2019) and 2 domestic Super Cups. During his spell in Real, he won 2 Champions League titles (2016, 2017), 2 championships (2017, 2020), 2 Club World Cups (2014, 2016), 2 European Super Cups (2015, 2017) and 1 Spanish Super Cup (2020).
