“Definitely, we are all so happy, especially with such a win in Constantinople, or the Polis. It is of great importance; we experience moments of historic proportions. It reminded me of 2012 when, in Polis, we won the European Final-4 in basketball. For us this was very big and this is dedicated to all Greeks. What I told the guys when together were just some simple words: “Greece, the Legend, our religion, inside Turkey”. This says it all.
We are extremely happy with that. We thank our players, the coach and his staff. We played strong as Olympiacos should always perform and we shall keep memory of this triumph for many years to come. Celebrations end tonight, because we have a top match on Sunday against Panathinaikos. We all have to be focused and united to win.
We do not stop; we keep on dreaming even when times are tough and this is what some friends of ours should see before rushing to jump into conclusions. The club features some great players, an amazing coach and the Administration is next to them solving all problems. We keep on dreaming and bringing our Olympiacos higher in Europe and Greece. This victory in our Polis is dedicated to all Greeks”.
