Details of his interview on Cosmote TV:
“We had a great first half; we moved the ball around really well; we created quite some chances and faced no threat. I think, throughout the match, Marseille posed no threat to use but both penalty calls. Then, we concede a penalty and get punished for that; such mistakes are not allowed because they might cost you dearly as it was the case. This defeat was a punishment for what has happened so far. The game is still on and everything depend on us. We’d love to seal third place tonight and get over with that, but we failed. It’s all up to us now and we have to work. We have prepared the match really well, but we got punished mainly for our mistake in the case of the first spot kick.
I would like to comment on the fact that there were fouls committed on our players and a yellow card should have been given; however, there was no call instead. Contrary to that, we were cautioned and free kicks were easily called against us all the time. It is also really bad that in the world’s top competition, the Champions League, there are no balls available in critical moments of the match. I believe this does no good to football”.
On the Porto match: “It is all up to us; we depend on our own performance. It will be a final of course, and we will give our all because we want to continue playing in the Europa League”.
