Following the US (Chicago, Washington), Australia (Melbourne) and Cyprus (Nicosia, Limassol, Famagusta, Paphos), it was time for Asia and the Middle East, in particular.
The Olympiacos Network of Schools proudly announces the opening of a new Football School in the United Arab Emirates and Dubai, in particular!
The very foundations of the Olympiacos edifice, i.e. our academies where by intensive work, sacrifices, lots of sweat and money have changed the gear over the past 10 years, add a new member of critical importance for spreading the Olympiacos concept and philosophy in the Middle East and beyond that.
Our Schools that represent the core of our Club and the preamble to the Academy grow more and more; they now constitute a model network, not just for Greek but also for European standards.
Our School Director Mr. Viron Manolas points out:
“Dubai is the metropolis of the Arab world and its cultural, financial and touristic focal point”.
The idea to open an Olympiacos football school there occurred when we thought that there was no way for Olympiacos not to join other top clubs that have already set foot in this region, since our brand name should go hand-in-hand with that of other major European clubs. Besides, this is in line with the dream and plan of Olympiacos leader, Mr Evangelos Marinakis.
Our goals are three-fold:
1. To spread the Olympiacos brand name in the Middle East and the Arab world.
2. To claim an academy championship title in Dubai within the next 3 years
3. To develop new talents who, in the future, will join the Olympiacos families.
