In details, his interview on Cosmote TV:
“Both matches didn’t turn out well for us. One of our players was sent off in the first match; we conceded a penalty goal in the second. There were moments in both legs when we showed we were on a par or even better than our opponent. We are proud of our lads. The team has done an amazing work to date”.
On the cases Olympiacos was not treated fairly: “I would rather not comment on them right now since I haven’t seen them on video. My views would not be realistic. I will check them on video and then I will comment them. However, I have my doubts on the offside line with respect to the goal we scored. They can use as many lines they want, but we will still have our doubts”.
On the taste he is left with: “We are sad. We did not show any signs of inferiority; on the contrary, we were better. This is what Olympiacos lacks: a distinction in Europe. We were ambitious and did want to go even farther. This team makes us proud. We are a family. We have reached the end in disillusionment; we deserved something better. Our first objective for the next season is to make it to the Champions League group stage”.
