Read below words by Perdo Martins, Youssef El-Arabi, Kostas Tsimikas and Guilherme after the end of our side’s match against Bayern.

Post-match press conference held my Pedro Martins:

On his very first comment in the dressing room after the match ended: “There is no room for feeling happy after a defeat. We are disappointed that we lost and conceded 3 goals. Bayern played really well in the first half. They responded well and we know what Bayern may do after conceding a goal. After the break, however, we played much better. We are satisfied with how we tried and we want to thank our fans. We feel sorry for not providing them with something more. After the kind of struggle we put on, I think we might deserve something more.

On whether Olympiacos deserved something more from this match: “We competed well. In the first half, our opponents clearly displayed their quality. In the 2nd half, we were the ones who stood out. We all feel sad because, judging by our performance, we could have taken something more out of this match. The players had worked hard, they never stop trying and this is the way forward.

On individual mistakes and their toll: “Yes, indeed. Individual mistakes do matter. We concede 3 goals following set pieces, and this was our fault. We knew from the beginning that the group was going to be tough and what the favorite teams were. Our clear objective is to continue playing in Europe. We will keep on fighting to get the best we can in this group.

On the encounter with AEK: “We still have 5 days ahead before the match. Everyone will be absolutely ready; we got the time needed to get prepped.

El-Arabi words for Cosmote Tv:

“I feel sad because we set off great, we managed to score in our first chance which meant a lot. We could have scored one more but we didn’t. Then, our opponents levelled the match before the break and took a 2-goal lead which made it really tough for us “.

On the next day in the group: “Things in our group are hard. We play against such major teams and following Tottenham’s win to Red Cross, we know aim at 3rd place. To do so, we have to beat Rec Cross at home and earn some points in one of our away matches“.

Tsimikas words for Cosmote Tv:

“In the beginning and before entering the pitch, one thinks that it is going to be very tough; however, both teams were in par. We made some minor mistakes that we have to fix, because when in such a top competition, the opponent will not make you pay for that. We wanted to play as our coach instructed us and stay united. Now, we are to play against AEK and we want to offer that to our supporting fans. Many players may play in many positions. It will take something more than a single match to tire us too much to play against AEK; we will be ready 100%. I see that my efforts are being rewarded. I know how El-Arabi moves in the penalty area and I wanted to connect with him at this point exactly, like we do it in training“.

Guilherme words for Cosmote Tv:

“No feelings of disappointment, I feel satisfied. We played well and looked a great outfit straight in the eyes. However, against such a team, we must not concede goals from set pieces; we have to work on that. We strived for a good result but, when facing these opponents, no such mistakes are allowed. Now we have our eyes to the future. The Champions League is hard and take part in a tough group. We have played well, however we have collected only one point. Things are now very difficult for us, but we will fight for it”.
