As long there is someone in need, Olympiacos will be there to help; a motto imbued to all members of the “red-and-white” family. Mr Evangelos Marinakis desire is the Club to always stand next to those in need and this is also the case with Mandra, Attika. The place where, for the 6th consecutive day, tangible aid and support is being provided to those affected by floods.
Machinery installed in the area by Olympiacos, the Municipalities of Piraeus and Moschato-Tavros keep working non-stop, cleaning water and mud off house yards, street surface, schoolyards, churches and pavements, so that normality may be restored in the region and traffic is facilitated. Everyday citizens make a superhuman effort and the Legend is there to support and empower them!
Aid in terms of supplies doesn’t stop. During all past days, Olympiacos delivered quantities of tools and basic necessities at the Mandras-Eidilias, such as clothing, bottled water, shovels, buckets, raincoats and boots, brooms. On Wednesday, the Legend delivered additional blankets, given that local residents, who struggle every day against water and mud, now have to also deal with low temperatures!
So, the struggle is still on and will continue. In coordination and cooperation with Mandra-Eidilia Mayor Ioanna Kriekouki, the Legend will keep on doing what they know best: to provide support to our fellow people in need.
