The Legend’s performance in OAKA was worthy of a champion, yet the side’s 1-0 win against AEK did not suffice for Olympiacos to secure its place in the Greek Cup’s final. The side was denied a well-deserved ticket to the final by the post in the final moments and several unfair calls of referee Sidiropoulos and his assistants during the match. Our side fully imposed itself on its rival, set the pace, lost many chances and made the AEK squad tremble in the end and their players pleading with the referees… to blow the final whistle. However, the final scoreline 1-0 was not enough to drive Olympiacos past this tie and give the final fight for another double.
