-On thematch and the chances lost:“Tonight we had no luck, I think this is what went bad. We had many chances and we could have left with a better outcome, but being unlucky kept victory, or a draw at least, away from. This is football however. Sometimes you try too hard and you fail; sometimes you don’t and yet you get the result. Nevertheless, what we should now think of is that we still have another match to lay and we have to return things to our favor in our pitch”.
-Do you believe that your side can change things around in the return-match: “We will have to win at home, just like Anderlecht did. We will have to use that asset. I know it’s not OK we failed to get out something from tonight’s match. But, at home, with our fans next to us and a scorching atmosphere, we will have 100% chances of qualifying“.
-It’d the second match in a row that Olympiacos fails to score:“I don’t believe there is something going wrong since we keep on producing many chances. We have to keep on working hard and results will come“.

-Your opinion on the match:“We had control of the match in most of the time and create many chances. We played well and performed some great combo plays; yet, we failed to score. It is important to score a goal in these matches. Ok we didn’t do it, but the first leg is over. And now, humble enough, we have home, prepare ourselves really well for the next match. We then have to give all we got to earn the scoreline we want“.
-In the return match, what should Olympiacos do in order to qualify:“We nerd to score. When one creates many chances, what we really miss is the fan’. When one creates so many chances, then he has to find a way and score. We have to do that at home, we all know how strong we are with our fans’ support. It is certain that locals will support our efforts and we will ive everything“.
-For the first of the year participation in Europe: “I feel good. I worked enough to come here, I tried a lot. Now I am happy that I have returned to European competitions, not able to be in the Champions League. Now I’m here, I work a lot and I am ready to help my team“.
