Olympiacos prove every day, through their actions, their support for UNICEF’s work!Through the “100% Campaign”, thousands of children are vaccinated throughout the world and Olympiacos assist, from their part, in any way they can in the work produced by the international organisation.
Dimitris Siovas and Alberto Botía donated the tokens they won during the ceremony of our club’s cutting the New Year’s Cake as well as the amounts offered with each token (5,000 Euro) to UNICEF so they can continue their work in order to save many more children in Greece and abroad.
In fact, the two aces of the Legend, through Olympiacos TV, called people to follow their example and support UNICEF’s effort to vaccinate small children.
Dimitris Siovas pointed out:”We all have a great responsibility to assist the children in need.First of all as people and then as footballers playing for a great club such as Olympiacos.I think that these last years Olympiacos have proved that the club steadily supports those in need.I would like to donate the New Year’s token (5,000 Euro) I won to UNICEF, knowing that Olympiacos and UNICEF achieved many things in the context of their collaboration to support children in Greece and abroad through the vaccination project that saves lives!Follow our example!”
Alberto Botía said:”We have an obligation to make sure that children, in Greece and throughout the world, live and grow up under healthy and safe conditions.This is why we should all support efforts such as the one by UNICEF and Olympiacos through the “100% Campaign”, aiming at vaccinating children all over the world.I wish to donate the amount of 5,000 Euro I won with the token of the New Year’s cake, to UNICEF.This is the least I can do, knowing it will help save lives of children in need.Follow our example!”
