The visiting team managed to snatch an early lead, mainly as a result of Olympiacos not making a powerful beginning in the match at Karaiskakis Stadium. Consequently, this 0-1 deficit in 14’ gave reasons to Mr Pereira and his players to be concerned with.
A few minutes after the second half kicked off, Olympiacos tied the match. It was Fortounis to steer the ball right to Diamantakos who headed it home for the equalizer, 1-1.
