In a memorial day for entire Olympiacos family, our side had a very important match to play against PAOK, which could decide our team’s future in this year’s championship campaign.
Olympiacos was quick to make its statement. The side kept possession and set the pace, and, in the first 30 minutes, it was the squad creating chances and pilling up the pressure on Itandje’s goal.
PAOK’s goalkeeper was undoubtedly the home team’s most valuable player, since he fought tooth and nail to keep its goal intact. Olympiacos, on the other hand, had control of the match and a number of players who stood out.
The match ended with Olympiacos being unable to grab a well-deserved victory given how the encounter evolved. Our side had more chances to get the “W” and respective three points, but it was its bad luck that decided otherwise. So, the Legend retained its 8-point lead over PAOK and the upper hand for winning the title.
