David Fuster:
“After tonight’s match, we have to be satisfied with our side’s overall attitude and display. We didn’t make it further in the Champions League, however this was an important victory exemplifying how we should proceed from this point onwards. Sometimes, we have had no such attitude, yet we are a group of good players”.
About the crowd:
“I am really happy with our fans, I am always grateful to them because they recognize my work and this is important. I have been with the club for 5 years, I love Olympiacos, I would like to thank the fans and I hope I will continue playing here”.
On his expectations about the Europa League:
“We will wait for the draw to see what our opponent will be. We have to focus a bit on the domestic championship, since some important matches will follow. We will have the time to prepare ourselves and I think that the Europa League fits Olympiacos a lot and the side may reach quite far».
Alejandro Dominguez:
“Indeed, that was a great night for us. We are happy with our performance. Last year we made it through, this year we didn’t. The important thing is that we won, we left a good impression and we continue our spell in European contests.
It is important that we continue in Europe, we feel confident and we are a good team; we can achieve something good in the future. Now, it’s time to concentrate on the championship, since title-winning secures our European spell”.
Roberto:
“Olympiacos can go really far in the Europa League. We got the skills and we can make it. We are proud of our campaign so far, our opponents were superior in their away matches and, definitely, we can do better in the Europa League.”

David Fuster:
“Yes, I believe that the result was fair, both in terms of how the match developed and the number of opportunities. ΠI believe we were the just winners of this match. Of course, there is an odd feeling, like when in the past we had also failed to move on in the Champions League, but we have to be happy because we did a fine job in the Champions League group stage. We have won 3 home matches against top sides. Another European tournament now awaits us, in which I think Olympiacos may do quite fine.
Winning is always helpful to boost a team’s morale after recent results we had for the championship, which might have affected the squad; yet now we are back on the right track. Our side features great players. What we must never fail to display is proper attitude and today we proved that.
The Europa League is a contest in which Olympiacos may achieve great things. Clearly, it is not an easy tournament, because making it to the final requires a series of successful qualifying matches; however, we can do if we take one step at a time.
I would like to thank our fans for the support they always provide us with. For me, it is important to feel this love and I will always try to do the best”.
Alejandro Dominguez:
“I believe we went pretty well. We delivered a great performance, as a team. We did what we had to do. We won! Maybe, we lacked some help from the other match and now we will continue in the Europa League.
Certainly, the result was fair. I believe we did a fine game and I reckon the side deserved to win, and we have a good reason to move forward.
I think it is a great result for all of us, it allows us to feel fine. We know that the championship is going to be difficult and we will have to fight for it.
It is always important to feature in a European contest and Olympiacos must be ever present in such top campaigns. We, as a team, will keep working hard and do everything possible to attain our goals.
We have to thank our fans for their support. May they always be by our side; we will always give 100% in the pitch”.
