During a match that Olympiacos totally dominated and could have easily won, the team was “betrayed” by the fact that they did not manage to score and the match against Asteras Tripolis ended 0-0 in the “Th. Kolokotronis” Stadium.
There were no major chances in the match, however Olympiacos’s overall display was better and this is why they dominated the game. They occupied more space on the pitch, created more attacking opportunities and could have scored the opening goal in more than one case. The first half found Olympiacos and Asteras in a tie, with no goals scored. And this was an unfair outcome.
During the second half, Olympiacos kept control of the match. In the last minutes of the match, Olympiacos pressed even more inside Asteras’s box. Roberto, as last week in Faliro in the match against Panathinaikos, mostly… watched the match! For all the massive pressure, no goal was scored and despite the fact that during the last minutes 9 out of the 11 “red-and-whites” were inside Košický’s box, the tie did not change and the match ended with no goals scored.
