Super League MD2 brought Olympiacos to Agrinion to play against local outfit Panaitolikos; our side left the pitch with a final 1-1.
More often than not, the home team players went over the limits of unsportsmanlike playing, forcing Olympiacos to end the match in 10 players since Maniatis and N’Doinga were taken out by the medical team on a stretcher.
The first half came to an end with Olympiacos failing to score or to take control of the match, although most ball possession and attacking spells have been clearly with them.
The second half kicked-off with Kasami substituting Dossevi and that was quick to produce results for Olympiacos. Our side took the lead with the Swiss’ first meeting with the ball!
Giannis Maniatis suffered an injury as a result of Panaitolikos playing hard. Our captain was violently fouled by Kevin in 72ʼ and had to leave the pitch! He was replaced by Saviola in 74ʼ.
That was also the case with N’Dinga who left the game to receive medical treatment. It was that moment when our side, being one man less, conceded the equalizer. Panaitolikos players continued their violent playing and, despite his coming back in the pitch, N’Dinga could hardly step on his right foot; consequently, he left the match for good in 83’.
Nothing changed until the final whistle, and the final scoreline remained 1-1.
OLYMPIACOS: Roberto, Elabdellaoui, Masuaku, Bottia, Abidal, N’Dinga, Maniatis (74ʼ Saviola), Dominguez, Dossevi (46ʼ Kasami), Dourmaz (58ʼ Mpouchalakis), Diamantakos.
