Mr. Michel spoke about the celebration that will be held in our stadium and the significance of celebrating a championship, saying amongst others:
“It is very important that our side made it once again and earned its 41st championship in history, which represents an incredible endeavor for any team. This achievement of securing the championship, plus our impressive campaign in Europe, our claim of the Cup, will be the occasions to celebrate altogether after the match against Apollon.
As you all know, Olympiacos, starting this year, has launched an important partnership with UNICEF that will provide 50.000 children with vaccination and thus hope in life. TheseinitiativestakenbyourClubandthePresidentgobeyondthesportsitself. You all remember our actions in Cephallonia, Pserimos and many other that Olympiacos offers to society and many of which will never go public.
Big part of our celebration will be dedicated to UNICEF. We have decided that entrance fee for this match will be minimum, so that as many fans as possible will attend and we also decided to give all proceeds from the celebrations to UNICEF, in order to help to this sacred cause of children vaccination. So, people should know that attending this match will be an actual contribution to help one or more human lives, and this makes our presence extremely important”.
Then, our Communication Officer, Mr. Karapappaspresented in detail the fiesta’s program, which will be focused on children, stressing at the same time that «all match proceeds will be given to UNICEF and tickets will be priced very low (5, 10, 15, 20, 50), whereas for this match no Olympiacos card will be required to purchase tickets.
Apart from match proceeds, we have prepared special frames with collective and numbered team shirts signed by all players. There are 200 shirts on which the buyer’s number and name will be engraved, for a cost of 250 EUR. Revenues from this action will go as well to UNICEF for the sacred cause of vaccinating children.
There will be a UNICEF stand in “The Park of Champions”, staffed with volunteers who will be informing visitors about its programs, whereas the RedStore will be selling UNICEF-branded Easter gifts, as well as collective t-shirts for our 41 Championships”.
Mr Karapappas also disclosed that our coach has made a noteworthy gesture by purchasing 1,000 tickets that will be distributed to children!
