As it is known, Olympiacos will travel this summer to the US and Canada to participate in the International Champions Cup and acquire valuable new “football” experiences; our side will also meet the Greek diaspora in return for their long-time love for the club no matter the distance!
Our team, as it has been announced, will visit Toronto (to play against Milan on July 24), Chicago (to play against Liverpool on July 27) and Minneapolis (to play against Manchester City on August 2).
In the 2nd stop of this a “legendary” tour, Olympiacos, in a gesture that reaches beyond Greek borders, will hold a charity event at the National Hellenic Museum, on Saturday July 26 at 19.00, one day before the top match against Liverpool. This event aims at spreading the message of cooperation with UNICEF for the vaccination of children in Greece and the rest of the world!
The event will be attended by the whole Olympiacos family, our players, coaching staff and administration officials, who are all looking forward to meet in person our fans and others. The players will have their photos taken with the fans,meet them and sign autographs, whereas a silent auction will take place of “red-and-white” memorabilia signed by the players who contributed in another successful year for our team in both Greece and Europe.
All proceedings of this event supported by the American Hellenic Institute, will be given to support the cause of this UNICEF-Olympiacos partnership to vaccinate children that need our help.
The atmosphere is expected to be really “upbeat”, since kids from the Olympiacos Soccer Club Chicago will attend the event and they can hardly wait to welcome our team together with other Greeks living there!
We hope to see you there, during this longed-for celebration, and thus contribute together to spreading the UNICEF message and thus help this world’s future, the children!
