Roberto Jimenez Gago:
“Manchester United was better and presented in a completely different way compared to the first leg. The awarded penalty affected us and provided them with lots of strength for the rest of the match. In the second half, we had enough strength, we could have taken something better out of it, but we failed to do so. It is not the time to talk about positive things, because we are really hurt. We performed great in this tie and the only thing we can say is that we are proud and that we have shown our skills for something more. We would like to thank our fans and we are proud of them, it is really important for us that they show their love to such an extent, and we want them to be by our side”.
Delvin N’Dinga:
“We made a huge effort. We tried our luck against a great side, but no justice was done to us. We had the advantage following the first leg, but we failed to preserve it. We wanted something more out of that tie, we chased that but we failed to achieve it. We cannot talk now about our defending or attacking. We either succeed or fail all together. Manchester United is a very big club. We have worked hard, prepared our defensive and attacking game for this encounter, but some things didn’t turn out right, and consequently Man. United made it to the last 8, while we didn’t”.
David Fuster:
“Judging by the chances created, Olympiacos deserved something more. However, our opponent made full use of their chances and it’s fair to congratulate them. If we bring to mind the first leg and the advantage we had tonight, we did stand a lot of chances. We didn’t make it, we are sad but we have to stand up and keep on working”.
