Olympiacos’ 4-2-3-1 formation featured Roberto at the goal; in defense, Salino, Manolas, Marcano and Cholevas. Maniatis and N’Dinga took on the midfield. At the wings, Campbell played in the right and Perez in the left. “Chori” Dominguez was placed at the back of our side’s sole forward, Michael Olaitan.
Our side took an early command of the match and wasted some chances, yet in 45’, against the run of play, the visitors took the lead. It was a fast break from the center when Berg entered the box, laid it in for Pranjic who shot home from the edge of the box.
Olympiacos kept adding the pressure, but in 67’ broke through our defense and tapped it past exiting Roberto, whereas in 89’ Abeid made it three with a direct free-kick.
