Our side was placed on the pitch with a 4-4-1-1 formation. Megyeri was the goalkeeper. In defense, from right to left, featured Salino, Manolas, Marcano and Bong. Maniatis and N’Dinga took on the center midfield, with Campbell (right) and Perez (left) in the wings. “Chori” was fielded behind Olaitan in attack.
Despite the fact the Legend had the upper hand, it was Atromitos to score first. Umbides took on the free kick in 42’ and following a slight confusion amidst our defense, Tavlaridis tapped it home from close range. The play has started with Umbides taking the free kick while three (not just one!) Atromitos players being an offside positions.
In 55’, Ballas handed the ball inside the box and referee Mandalos was right to call the penalty. “Chori” took the spot kick and netted it, levelling things 1-1 in 56’. This score lasted until the end, with our Legend taking a well-deserved ticket for the next stage against the winner of the PAOK-Apollon Smirnis tie, on our course to conquer a new title!
