Olympiacos starting line-up was the following: Megyeri under the goalpost; in defense, from right to left, Salino, Avraam, Manolas and Bong. Maniatis and Samaris were our midfield duo, whereas Fuster (left) and Campbell (right) took the wings. Saviola and Olaitan were our Legend’s forwards in the attack.
The first half ended 0-0, which was far from telling the truth, since Olympiacos prevailed on the pitch and deserved to have taken the lead.
Our side kept on adding more pressure in order score, creating chances until the very last minute. In injury time, a double chance was lost, when the ball deflected on Olaitan and Bong, and lurking Sepovic fired from inside the box only to be saved by Sifakis; Campbell’s rebound shot flew high above the post.
The score 0-0 remained unchanged until the end, so now our Legend will play the return leg in Peristeri aiming to claim qualification!
