Olympiacos was positioned in a 4-4-1-1 formation. Megyeri was the goalkeeper, with Salino, Avraam, Papazoglou and Bong (from right to left) in defense. Midfield-wise, Pele and N’Dinga took the center, with Fuster and Machado at the wings, left and right respectively. Domiguez was the link between the midfield and the attack, positioned a few meters behind our forward, Kostas Mitroglou.
The first half ended goalless, with Olympiacos trying to create goal-scoring opportunities that the side has not managed to convert.
However, in 77ʼ, Sepovic replaced Mitroglou and our young striker needed just a few minutes to emphatically seal the match! In 79ʼ, after receiving Ariel Ibagaza’s marvelous assist, he dribbled past Zissopoulos and fired past Georgakopoulos for the winning goal; that score 0-1 remained the same until the end, and thus secured our side’s next round tie against Atromitos.
OLYMPIACOS: Megyeri, Salino, Papadopoulos, Papazoglou, Bong, N’Dinga, Pele, Machado (65ʼ Weiss), Fuster, Dominguez (58ʼ Ibagaza), Mitroglou (77ʼ Scepovic).
