Roberto was the goalkeeper, with Salino, Manolas, Papazoglo and Bong in defense. Samaris and Machado were the center midfielders, with Olaitan on the right and Weiss on the left wing. Dominguez was fielded behind Saviola in forward positions.
Our side started off on the wrong foot, since they conceded a goal to PAS in 11, converted by Ilic.
However, Olympiacos reacted promptly and Saviola equalized 10 minutes later.
Our side kept seeking its 2nd goal with fervor. Despite its chances, the first half ended in a tie.
After the break, Olympiacos piled up more pressure and finally took the lead following a penalty kick , earned by Salino and converted by Machado in 50’.
Our side’s third goal was once again the outcome of a successful spot kick in 69′, earned and fired home by Campbell.
