Megyeri was in the goal. Papazoglou, Cholevas, Manolas and Papadopoulos were on the defense. Greco, Fejsa and Maniatis played in the midfield. Fuster was on the right, Abdoun on the left, and Rafeek Djebbour at the top of the offensive line.
Encouraged by our fans, our side wanted to start off strongly in the match and put pressure on Panathinaikos.
That pressure kept being steady until 15’ and Panathinaikos had a hard time trying to get past the midfield line. Finally, the first half ended goalless.
After the first fifteen minutes in the second half, Olympiacos picked up the pace even more and piled pressure on the opponents for a goal.
In his only chance during the… entire match, Zeca came out from the right and turned the ball to the penalty area, where Figueroa took an inside kick past Megyeri and marked 1-0 in 73’.
After the goal, Panathinaikos retreated in their defense in an attempt to hold on to that score, while Olympiacos put pressure in order to mark the equalizer.
The equalizer came in 87΄ by Kostas Mitroglou, when Djebbour took a shot and the Greek striker tapped it in, marking 1-1.
In the end, the two teams earned a draw, since nothing changed until the end of the encounter.
