We have a tough match ahead of us, facing Levante, for the UEFA Europa League round of 32. Most likely, the first leg result makes it even tougher. However, no one of us will give up the “fight”. The players, the staff and I, will give the best of us and more, in order to go the extra mile required, so that we qualify over our opponent.
The result was not good for us, but we have the skills and we must make full use of them. First and foremost, we are a quality team, we have great players, real fighters, who believe in the comeback and are ready to give it all.
Second, the fact we play at home gives us an additional major incentive, to display on the pitch the necessary skills and reverse the odds that are currently negative to us.
On top of that, we have to also consider the huge help that Olympiacos fans provide us. This is our strength, when we have them on our side. Fighting for them, as well as fighting for the club and our selves, and making them happy, is the thought that fills our mind.
We still keep our feet on the ground, given that we are to face a good side that holds the score to its advantage. But we are Olympiacos; a squad that knows how to stand out, to win and a side that has been forged through titles and successes. I wish that the end of that night will find us all, players, technical staff, administration and the fans! The only thing we can promise is that we will give the best of us and we will try to offer happiness to our people.
