Olympiacos’ players made a vigorous opening in the match aiming at taking an early lead. Thus, the action was taking place in front of Pitka’s box area. Olympiacos was much more aggressive, owned possession of the ball and forced Panachaiki to do nothing but to defend their goal. The first half ended in 0-0.
The second half broke into with a goal for our side! In 47’, Fuster took the free-kick and Djebbour converted it with a header straight into Pitka’s net.
Our side’s 2nd goal was marked in 71’ by Kostas Mitroglou! Vlachodimos took the corner kick and the Greek forward headed it through, 2-0!
In 94΄, a free-kick by Machado hit Pitka’s cross-bar; in the remaining time nothing changed, and Olympiacos registered a 2-0 win.
