This activity provides our fellow humans with blood in order to help save their lives; blood is so valuable that can neither be bought nor sold.
Blood donation is completely safe and painless, whilst revitalizing our system. Blood is life! Many of our fellow citizens need blood and we owe it to ourselves to stay by their side. International statistics show that 60% of the population will need a full or partial blood transplant at least once in their lifetime and that only 5% of the people on earth, who are adequate to donate blood, actually do so.
The next blood collection campaign, in cooperation with Metaxa Hospital, will take place in the end of March 2012.
