The Belgian striker was not only the sole player to score 20 goals in the season but also made the best performances throughout the championship therefore it was only fair to get voted by the fans as the most valuable player of the season and receive these awards. Kevin was also among the top 18 players of the best team for the 2011-2012 season.
About his awards, Mirallas said:
“I would like to thank the coach, the staff and my teammates because none of this would have been possible without their help. The MVP award is the most special one as it was voted by the public. Scoring is always a pleasure but it would not be possible without great teammates. I would like to thank them for helping me achieve my goals.”
