The «Reds» reached their goal, which -after winning the domestic title- was to end the season on a high note and a good performance.
Ivan Marcano on 61 minutes and Yiannis Fetfatzidis on 67 netted our team’s two goals. In the first half, during which both teams were in an attempt to find rhythm on the pitch, OLYMPIACOS F.C. managed to control the pace of the match. The visitors put their effort in disrupting their opponent’s versatile defense.
In the second half, our players pushed up the pace and reached the victory easily thanks to the goals of Marcano and Fetfatzidis. The home team, on the other side, tried to react but, despite the many changes in our team’s lineup, our players never found themselves under real pressure.
In short, OLYMPIACOS F.C. could have scored more goals, as well as have taken the lead earlier in the game. In fact, at the 47th minute, David Fuster missed the chance to score from the penalty spot, after Diogo was brought down within the opponent’s box.
