It has been quite a difficult season for us, as we participated in three different competitions. This championship turned out to be one of the most challenging ones. Consistency makes a good team and that was also the case today; we grabbed a victory that wins us the title.
We are a solid team; very well bonded. Around the end of January we lowered our standards in our game, but it was somewhat expected. No team in the world can always be in top shape. It was only natural not meet the standards for a short while. Fortunately, we didn’t have to “pay” for it. Our team’s large roster was the main reason we won the championship.
Mr. Valverde is a very good coach and the fact that he is doing a great job with this team, especially these last couple of years, does show. All of us would like to see him stay with Olympiacos.”

“What we feel, when we come to think about this year’s season, is great satisfaction. We deserved the title, we were the best team, but we have to maintain our serious image, in order to end the season well.
We succeeded in achieving our goals mainly because of teamwork, but also due to the good balance we had on the pitch. Our team has great quality and this more than evident during tough games. It also consists of players with great personality, who managed to take the team on their shoulders when needed. Everyone’s wish is to keep up the pace, constantly improve and meet our expectations also in our future European contests.
